Gary Pritchett has driven in nearly every class from Super Street to Top Fuel. Before earning his nitro license in 2015 under the guidance of Foley Racing crew chief Doug Kuch, he was a Top Fuel crewmember. For more than a decade and through four world championships, Pritchett was a key member of Steve Torrence’s CAPCO Contractors team. In 2024, he made his Top Fuel debut at the In-N-Out Burger NHRA Finals in Pomona driving a car owned by Travis Shumake and maintained by the Scrappers Racing team. The car was branded as a tribute to the late Bunny Burkett. Pritchett has had a front-row seat for drag racing since birth. His father, Bear, was an integral part of the Burkett’s Top Alcohol Funny Car team known as “Bunny and the Boys.”
